This site is operated by the Silverbacks Wrestling Club of Mira Mesa as a courtesy to San Diego wrestlers.  The site's purpose is to provide Midget level wrestlers information on Midget tournaments.  I'm sure its scope will change as it evolves.

Local Tournaments

SDWA

The San Diego Wrestling Association (SDWA) offers Midget level wrestling. Check out it's website for the latest tournament information.  

Due to USAW rules and insurance regulations, a Midget age wrestler may not wrestle in any other division than Midget

• Midget Boys/Girls (born 1997-98): 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 87, 95, 103, 112, 120, 120+ (20 lb. maximum difference).

The association holds two seasons: 

• Fall Season - September to November 15 - Midgets wrestle Folkstyle
• Spring Season - March to June - Midgets wrestle Freestyle and Greco
• Tournaments - Tournaments are normally on SATURDAY.

SIDKWA

The San Diego-Imperial Kids Wrestling Association (SIDKWA) offer Midget level wrestling. This year their format has changed from FREESTYLE to FOLKSTYLE.

• Midget Boys/Girls (born 1997-98): 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 87, 95, 103, 112, 120, 120+ (20 lb. maximum difference).  

The association has one season:

• Fall Season -  from  mid-November thru March each year Midgets wrestle Folkstyle.  
• Tournaments - Since the SIDKWA season coincides with the CIF HS season, tournaments are normally on SUNDAY.
