Welcome to the Cadet WrestlingWeb Page This site is operated by the Silverbacks Wrestling Club of Mira Mesa as a courtesy to San Diego wrestlers. The site's purpose is to provide Cadet level wrestlers (14 and 15-year old wrestlers - Freshmen and Sophomores in HS) information on Cadet tournaments. I'm sure its scope will change as it evolves. Local Tournaments SDWA The San Diego Wrestling Association (SDWA) is the local USAW organization for Cadet level wrestlers. Check out it's website for the latest tournament information. Cadet wrestlers can wrestle 2 weights, both Cadet and Junior, and two styles in the Spring Season (Freestyle and Greco-Roman). Cadet (born 1991-92) 84, 91, 98, 105, 112, 119, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 152, 160, 171, 189, 215, 285. Link to SDWA website The association holds two seasons: Fall Season - September to November 15 - Cadets wrestle Folkstyle (may add Sombo) Spring Season - March to June - Cadets wrestle Freestyle and Greco (may add Sombo) Tournaments - Tournaments are normally on SATURDAY. SIDKWA The San Diego-Imperial Kids Wrestling Association (SIDKWA) also offer Cadet wrestling. This year their format has changed from FREESTYLE to FOLKSTYLE. Cadet (born 1991-92) 84, 91, 98, 105, 112, 119, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 152, 160, 171, 189, 215, 285.
